The Creative Network

For me, creating art is a journey. From concept to creation, you travel along the creative process with the goal of finding something worth it at the end. So once the journey is done, what then? Most of us want to share it, but with who?

Networking and building relationships with others who share in your creative journey builds a place to share those results. Being able to show your work and view the work of others builds motivation, it inspires us, and pushes us to better ourselves, reaching new goals. While the journey can often be personal when creating our work, at the end it is meant to be shared. Looking for Something Lost

I've always loved to draw and explore art. As a kid I doodled all the time, creating strange creatures and drawing my favorite cartoon characters. Finished high school and went to college to major in art and found new life in figure drawing and feel in love with ceramics and printmaking. For fear of not making it as an artist in the "real world" I finished school with a degree in graphic design, and since then the simple joy of drawing has faded over the past years.

This year my goal is to rediscover what I was designed to be and reclaim my love for drawing. To explore being creative again, for myself. You can follow the stories and see what artwork this year produces on my blog.
